Congratulations to our deputy head teacher, Mike Ho who has been awarded with the 'Excellent Chinese Teacher' award from the UK Association for the Promotion of Chinese Education. The award ceremony took place on Sunday 28th October 2012 in London.

We would like to remind you all that our new school term will be starting this Sunday (16th September 2012).
Registration for Mandarin classes start from 10:30, lessons start at 11:00. For Cantonese classes, registration starts at 13:30, and lessons start at 14:00. You are welcome to join either classes or even both! We look forward to seeing you all. Congratulations to all of our GCSE pupils who have received outstanding results.
Hei Cheng CHAN, Tin Weng KOU, Eric Man Ho LEE, Amy TANG, Bruce TO, Jack TO & Jessie DIEP have all got an A* grade! A big well done to Andy Kwok Leung CHUNG who got full marks on the whole GCSE. Congratulations to all the students in the A-level class who have just received their A2 exam results this week. Each student obtained outstanding results; the overall grades are as follows:
Hei Man CHEONG achieved an A*. Edward See Shing WONG, Sin-I CHU, King Yee CHEUNG & Louisa CHAN achieved A grade. Hailey PUN, Tin Ian Koa & Clarisa CHAN all obtained B. Finally, Christopher WONG achieved C grade. Well done to everyone involved. You are all invited to join our AGM and end of year school assembly. Once again, the Chinese school maintained the highest teaching standard and achieved impressive GCSE results this summer.
Kar-Wing Louisa CHAN, Matthew CHUNG, Geoffrey Neil HALLIWELL, Jamie Cheuk Man LEE, Yui Kiu Derek LEE, Tony LI, Calvin LO, Thomas Guimaraes TALBERT, Jade YAU, Karmen CHEUNG, Yun-Hang CHO, Hang Qing HE and Matheus Guimaraes TALBERT all achieved the highest grade A*. Shannon Jo HALLIWELL got an A grade and Yeun Kwen CHENG obtained a B. Many of our students obtained full marks in some of their exam papers and one of our students had obtained full marks in all four papers! Congratulations to all students! We started the AS Level class last academic year and we achieved an outstanding as ever GCE Chinese results.

King Yee CHEUNG, Jessica LAU and Peter CHING obtained a B grade. Congratulations to all the students and thank you teachers for your hard work involved this year. We are delighted to inform you that the Sheffield Chinese School have been awarded a Silver Award in the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools.
The award was made by National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education. The award certificate was presented to our deputy headteacher Dr. Mike Ho in Sheffield Town Hall on Wednesday 16th March 2011 by Sheffield Lord Mayor, Cllr. Alan Law JP. Achieving this prestigious award proves that the Sheffield Chinese School is committed to provide quality teaching. |
